About Our History
In 1976 Poonam Sweet Centre was established and continued to deliver delicious sweets to the wider community using the already successful recipes and techniques passed down through generations.
We stemmed from within the community, grew with it and established ourselves within it. More than forty years on we pride ourselves on upholding our signature ladoos and barfis whilst expanding our success nationwide.
Three Generations of Excellence
First Generation
Shadi Ram Sharma founded our first sweet shop in Punjab, bringing traditional recipes that had been in the family for generations.
Second Generation
Expanding to the UK in 1976, our second generation established Poonams Sweet Centre, introducing our authentic flavors to a wider audience.
Third Generation
Today’s generation has modernised our operations while maintaining the authentic recipes and techniques that made Poonams famous.
